Islay

ferry from Port Ellen and Port Askaig the Island has a rewound malt whisky industry and a large farming community to the west with green farm land sloping up to rugged cliffs, producing a popular
cheese.
Islay has the loch Indaal and loch Gruineart, at Kilchoman and Kildalton there are finely ancient carved crosses, to the south is the long strand and machair of Laggan Bay which
is the Oa peninsula with moors that stretch out to the east coast isolated but picturesque
