Kinlochberive Situated on Loch Inchard. and on the isthmus between it and Loch Clash, Kinlochbervie is the base of a considerable fishing fleet for vessels operating in the Northern Minch, the sea between the Hebrides and the mainland.
Angling visitors to Kinlochbervie will find a variety of fishing - salmon, sea trout and brown trout; and they can pursue their pleasure in the finest W. Highland scenery dominated by the peaks of the
Reay Forest. For some four miles north west of Kinlochbervie the road continues to end at the Atlantic by the small fishing village of Sheigra. After that there is only a peat track, but it is one well worth walking over, for
it leads to the far-famed beauties of Sandwood Bay and Sandwood Loch. Sandwood is uninhabited, but those who visit it are unlikely to forget it. Here too is some outstanding sea-trout angling.
