Usk is where you can visit the Roman amphitheatre and museum. A mile to the north of Chepstow you can find the famous Chepstow racecourse which plays host to year-round National Hunt and Flat Racing, including the Welsh Grand National.  Ebbw Vale,  has the Festival Park  a vibrant attraction which is well worth a visit.  The visitor and education centres offer a warm welcome with a coffee shop and toilets, plus displays which highlight the industrial history and future development of this scenic valley location. Panteg is mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraced property. The area includes the shopping precinct of Windsor Road; Griffithstown Infant & Junior Schools are here and the secondary school is the West Monmouth School. There are numerous pubs and the old railway club,  The County Hospital is also located here, as is Panteg Medical Centre. Pontypool, people and property have been  developing here since 1490 the town started with the manufacture of iron, Monmouth is a town of  schools here you can find a 13th century stone gated bride, unique in Britain as it is the only preserved bridge of its design remaining, a second bridge over the Monnow was opened on, 2004, turning the old bridge in to a pedestrian walk way.
