Situated on the south west coast of Scotland Stranraer is a
gateway to Ireland with P&O, Sea link & Stenna ferries operating schedule
services. With the main ferry terminal moving to the port of Cairnryan, Stranraer will be looking for a new roll for its
sheltered port facilities and on the agenda is a possible marina
which would allow a large investment in Stranraer and an emphasis
on its tourism with the infrastructure already in place. The area
around Stranraer offers a great environment for families with
education well catered for. Stranraer has good transport links
with a railway station connecting to Glasgow. The town itself
offers a variety of shopping with new supermarkets.
